New music from Mariah Carey could be on the way.
For, the Songbird Supreme has now revealed that she has recorded a new album.

In a conversation with Rolling Stone, she shared that she has recorded multiple projects over the course of the last couple years.
Speaking on it, she said:
“It’s about three or four different things. One is a project that I’m almost finished with that I was doing some background vocal tweaks on. One is [new] songs that could be for the scripted series [by Lee Daniels] or a documentary.”
“And then there’s a themed album. It’s something that people have been asking me to do for years, but it’s not done in the traditional sense. It’s not done yet, but I’m really excited about it. I’m working [on that album] with some very eclectic, newer artists, as well as some legendary folks.”
The announcement of new music comes as she celebrated the 25th anniversary of her celebrated ‘Butterfly’ album. To mark the birthday, she released a special anniversary edition, which included a remake of ‘The Roof (When I Feel the Need)’ with Brandy.
The upcoming album would serve as Carey’s first proper studio album since the much-lauded release of ‘Caution’ in 2018.

I would be so excited if Mariah is to be releasing a new album sometime this year 2023!
